Institute of the
Incarnate Word
Taking possession of all that is authentically human for Christ
«We aspire to train priests for the Catholic Church according to the Heart of Christ: priests who are spiritually nourished by the Word of God, who are at the service of their neighbour, in solidarity with all those in need, advocates of the laity, possessing a great capacity for dialogue, with no identity crises, who are eager for ongoing training, who leave themselves to Providence, who love the Catholic liturgy and are tireless preachers.»

The Institute of the Incarnate Word (IVE) is a Catholic clerical religious institute founded in Argentina on 25 March 1984 by Father Carlos Miguel Buela. It was canonically recognised on 8 May 2004 by Andrea María Erba in Italy. Present in 44 countries through 93 ecclesiastic jurisdictions, its mission is to live the vocation of Christ intensely, dedicating itself to God, seeking His glory for the good of the Church and the salvation of souls. Members follow Christ with vows of chastity, poverty and obedience, and a fourth vow of Marian servitude, inspired by Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort, to extend the incarnation of Christ.
